The 8 Levels of Agentic Engineering: Levelling Up as a Team

David Tavoularis - Mycom - Maintenance & Development Director

Most engineers think they're using AI well. Most of them are wrong. There's a gap between what AI tools are capable of and what we actually do with them — and that gap is measurable. Drawing on Bassim Eledath's 8-level scale, this talk lays out a concrete map of agentic engineering: from "Copilot finishes my line of code" all the way to "agents coordinating with each other while I sleep." But the real subject here isn't individual. Your velocity is capped by the lowest level on your team: a level 7 engineer shipping PRs overnight is still blocked by a level 2 colleague who reviews every line by hand. In 20 minutes, come and find out where you sit, understand what's keeping you from the next level, and leave with one conviction: you don't level up alone — you level up as a team.
